Harriet Tubman: Irreplaceable Values
Edwin Lester pays tribute to the life and legacy of Harriet Tubman, the conductor of the Underground Railroad, with the latest installment in his Tubman Series titled “Irreplaceable Values”.
It was inspired by the values within Harriet Tubman that allowed her to become the freedom fighter known as “Moses” by the enslaved Africans that she freed in the years preceding the Civil War.
Tubman’s friends and fellow abolitionists claimed that the source of her strength came from her faith in God as deliverer and protector of the weak. “Lord, I’m going to hold steady on to You and You’ve got to see me through.”
