Shades of Color Kids: The Art of Frank Morrison 2022 Wall Calendar
The award-winning artist and illustrator Frank Morrison has come a long way from his roots as a Graffiti artist in the tri-state area. His celebrated and popular artwork is inspired by hip-hop culture, African American cultural experiences, and his urban upbringing.
As an illustrator, Frank is responsible for the images in over 20 children’s books. Including the award-winning Jazzy Miz Mozetta, Our Children Can Soar, The Hat that Wore Clara B, Long Shot, Children of GOD, and Little Melba and her Big Trombone.Â
He has pulled images from these award-winning Children’s books for the 2022 installment of his always popular Shades of Color Kids Calendar.
Included in this calendar are the following works of art: Right It, The Champ, When I Grow Up, Night Hawks, Focus, Time Lapse, Our Lives Matter, Freeze Tag, She Got Next, Pop Wheelie, Sports Pages, and Back to Back.
Frank frequently works with acrylic and watercolor during his creative process. His style has been labeled a combination of urban mannerism, graffiti and abstract contemporary. He notes Ernie Barnes and Annie Lee as influences during his development process as an artist.
This calendar measures 12×12 inches (closed) and 12×24 inches (open).
