Strength
A framed and matted open edition African American motivational poster containing an image of former enslaved Africans gathered around a cabin in 1861. The poster was created to instruct the viewer on the strength of those of African descent to overcome these conditions and inhumane treatment. It also is meant to encourage the viewer to use that same strength to overcome any obstacles in this day and age. The motivational features the phrase “Strength” and contains the following inspirational quote:
The strongest people in the world aren’t those most protected; they are the ones that must struggle against adversity and obstacles – and surmount them – to survive.
