Summertime in the City
It’s summertime in NYC, and the neighborhood block is sweltering with rising temperatures. A trip to the beach or the waterpark would take several hours in traffic. The locals are getting restless. Suddenly, there’s a crown of ice cold water shooting into the air. Kids and adults from surrounding neighborhoods dash toward the cascading spray and dance under the shower from a freshly opened fire hydrant that was retrofitted with a special cap for just this occasion.
Nelson celebrates the century-old summertime metropolitan tradition of turning fire hydrants into sprinklers with SUMMERTIME CITY.
